Product description

iC-MFL is an integrated 8-channel level adjustment device driving N-channel FETs.
On single errors the output stages switch to a predefined, safe low state.
iC-MFL monitors the supply voltage and disrupted ground connections in order to guarantee the safe low state of the output stages in the event of error.
On two outputs of different logic states being short circuited, the safe state predominates and keeps the N-channel FETs in a safe state.
The device is protected against destruction by ESD.

Features

  • 8-fold level shift of 1.8 V to 3.3 V to 5 V input signal levels to 5 V output voltage
  • Safe low output state with single errors, short-circuit-proof push-pull current sources for driving FETs
  • Surge voltage-proof outputs up to 18 V with ground and supply voltage monitoring and ESD protective circuitry
  • Schmitt trigger inputs with two-stage pull-down current for enhanced noise immunity with limited power dissipation
  • Push-pull current sources for driving FETs
  • Ground and supply voltage monitor
  • Temperature range from -40 to 125 °C

Applications

  • Power stage control of ECUs for EBS, ESC, and EPAS
  • Operation of 5 V logic level N-FETs from 3.3 V - 1.8 V systems
  • PLCs and ECUs logic level N-FET output stages
